Meet Your Psychologist, Gillian

Gillian Day
Gillian is a Clinical Psychologist who holds a strong interest in supporting people through the many changes and challenges of midlife. She recognises that this stage of life, whether experienced by women or men, can bring a mix of physical, emotional, and relational shifts.
From the transitions of perimenopause and parenting through midlife, to coping with grief, loss, and identity changes, Gillian is passionate about helping her clients find balance, meaning, and renewed confidence.
She works hard to create a warm and compassionate space where clients can explore their experiences openly and feel supported as they navigate life’s complexities.
Gillian takes a collaborative approach, helping people build resilience and discover practical strategies for
growth and healing. Gillian holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Australian Catholic University
and has formal training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Schema Therapy. She also draws on Mindfulness,
Solution-Focused Therapy, and Positive Psychology to tailor her approach to each client’s needs.
Gillian's clinical experience spans work with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, substance use, and anger, as well as grief and loss. Before becoming a psychologist, Gillian worked as a social worker in the mental health sector, supporting people and families living with complex mental health conditions.
Today, she brings this breadth of experience to her work with adults in midlife, helping women and men navigate perimenopause, parenting, grief, and the wider challenges of midlife with clarity, strength, and compassion.
